Nadine Ketel is an Assistant Professor in Economics at the University of Gothenburg. Previously, she was a PhD Candidate at the VU University Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam. She received her Master’s degree in Economics at the University of Amsterdam and completed the MPhil in economics at the Tinbergen institute.

Her main research interests are labor economics, educational economics and economics of crime that she studies with the use of natural and field experiments.

She joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in January 2015.
