Mevlude Akbulut-Yuksel
Research Fellow

Mevlude Akbulut-Yuksel is the Killam Professor and Maxwell Chair of Economics at Dalhousie University, Canada. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Houston in 2009 and her B.S. in Economics from METU, Turkey, in 2004. Her research focuses on Labor Economics, Development Economics, and Health Economics, with a particular emphasis on how childhood environments, armed conflict, educational policies, and health interventions shape long-term outcomes in education, labor markets, and health.

She joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2008 and became a Research Fellow in December 2011.
