artin is a Research Associate at the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER). His research explores how migration shapes sending and receiving societies through the movement of people and the difussion of ideas - with a special focus on human capital, cultural values, and social cohesion. Much of his work draws on historical natural experiments and newly digitized data. He also use experimental methods (including RCTs) to evaluate contemporary policies.
