Christian Grund is Professor of Human Resource Management and Personnel Economics at RWTH Aachen University. He studied economics and business administration at the Universities of Hannover (Diplom-Ökonom, 1997) and Bonn (Dr. rer. pol., 2001). He was a visiting scholar at Stanford University (Graduate School of Business), Aarhus Business School and McGill University. Before he moved to Aachen in 2012, Christian Grund held professorial positions at the University of Wuerzburg and the University of Duisburg-Essen.

His research interests include personnel economics, employment relations and human resource management with a particular focus on empirical personnel research. He has published his work for instance in the Industrial & Labor Relations Review, Journal of Economics and Management Strategy, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization and the International Journal of Human Resource Management.

Christian Grund joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in September 2000 and became a Research Fellow in August 2002.
