I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Administration & Policy at American University, an NBER Faculty Research Fellow, and an IZA Research Affiliate.

My research examines how public policies and social comparisons shape self-image and weight-related behaviors. I also have work studying how information and cost affect preventive care utilization, including vaccination and cancer screening. My work is supported by the NIH.
