Francesco Fasani is Professor in Economics at the Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods (DEMM) at University of Milan. He is a Research Fellow at CEPR (Labour Economics and Political Economy) and at CReAM (Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration).
Previously, he was Reader at the School of Economics and Finance, Queen Mary - University of London (2013-2021), a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Economic Analysis (IAE-CSIC) in Barcelona (2010-2013), and Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (2010-2013). In 2011, he received his Ph.D. in Economics at UCL (University College London).
His main research interests are in Labour Economics, Applied Microeconometrics, the Economics of Migration and of Crime.
He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in September 2008 and became a Research Fellow in July 2014.
