Malte Sandner is a research professor (reduced teaching load) at the Nuremberg Institute of Technology for „Data Sience
and Empirical Economics“.

He is also affiliated with the German Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in the research department Education, Training, and Employment Over the Life Course. His research focuses on topics in applied microeconomics with an emphasis on education, health, family, and migration economics, but also on interdisciplinary questions in health, psychology, and sociology. He has published in economic and interdisciplinary journals, such asthe Economic Journal, the Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Health Economics, Pediatrics, and Child Abuse and Neglect.

Malte Sandner joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2023.
