Bryan Stuart is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at George Washington University. Stuart completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University in 2011 and received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2017.
Stuart’s research focuses on labor, public, and urban economics. His recent work examines the long-run effects of recessions on local labor markets and individuals’ education and income, the role of birth town migration networks in location decisions, and the role of social connectedness in reducing crime in U.S. cities.
He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in May 2018.
