Daphné Skandalis is doing a PhD in applied microeconomics and labor economics since 2013 in CREST, France. She has been visiting UC Berkeley in 2015 -2017 and will be a visiting the University of Zurich in 2017-2018.
Her research focuses on the determinants of job search intensity and recruitment intensity. In particular, she analyses how jobseekers adjust their search behavior when media news report the creation or destruction of jobs in their local labor market.
Daphné joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in June 2017.
