Pedro Maia Gomes is a Reader at Birkbeck, University of London. He was previously at the Department of Economics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He received his PhD. in economics in 2010 at the London School of Economics. Pedro is interested in macroeconomics of the labour market and fiscal policy.

He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in November 2010 and became a Research Fellow in July 2014.
