Zuzana Brixiova is Associate Professor at the University of Economics, Prague. She is also Senior Researcher at the Technical University of Ostrava and Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Cape Town. Her research interests are at the intersection of entrepreneurship, public economics and development. She has published in journals such as African Development Review, Development Policy Review, Economic Modelling, Economic Systems, Economics Letters, IMF Staff Papers, Journal of Globalization & Development, Macroeconomic Dynamics, Review of Development Economics, Small Business Economics, and World Development. She holds Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota and M.A. (Ing.) in Finance from the University of Economics, Prague.

She joined IZA as a Research Fellow in October 2011.
