Ximeng Fang holds an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Mannheim and spent a semester abroad at the University of Manchester. Currently he is finishing his Master's degree in economics at the University of Bonn.
He was a student assistant at IZA from November 2014 until July 2015.
