Amalia Miller
Amalia Miller
Research Fellow

Amalia Miller is a Professor of Economics at the University of Virginia. She earned a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from MIT with a minor in Women's Studies. Miller's research interests include labor economics, health economics, and law and economics, with a focus on issues and policies affecting women and children. Miller has received research funding from the US National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and Department of Defense. Her research was recognized with the 2013 IZA Young Labor Economist Award, the 2012 Garfield Economic Impact Award, and the 2006 Arrow Prize for Junior Economists. Miller served two terms on the board of the American Economic Association's Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession (CSWEP).

She joined IZA as a Research Fellow in January 2014.
