Emma Tominey is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at The University of York, UK. She gained her PhD in Economics at University College London.
Emma's research interests lie in Family Economics, Labour Economics and Applied Microeconometrics. She has worked on topics including youth unemployment and policy evaluation of public sector incentive schemes.
Currently Emma is interested in the role of family resources on the development of child human capital, the importance of peer effects for parent decision making, the insurance role of maternity leave and the role of resources in determining childcare quality.
She joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2010 and became an IZA Research Fellow in January 2013.
