Thomas Le Barbanchon is an assistant professor in the department of economics of Bocconi university since 2015. He received a PhD in Economics from Ecole Polytechnique.

His research interests are job search and matching, labor flows, discrimination, labor contracts, and unemployment insurance. Some of his recent publications look at two-tier labor markets in France and Spain in the great recession, at the evaluation of labor market policy in equilibrium, at the unintended effects of anonymous resumes and at the effects of unemployment insurance on unemployment duration, job search (reservation wages) and match quality.

Thomas joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2017.
