Juan is an assistant professor of Economics at the IÉSEG School of Management (Paris campus), and an affiliate of the Lille Économie Management research lab (CNRS UMR-9221). He received his BS and MS in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia), and his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2020. His research involves topics in development and labor economics, with special interest on education, trade, and policy evaluation in developing economies. He became an IZA Research Affiliate in May 2023.
