Dr. Maximilian Göthner is an Assistant Professor in the Entrepreneurship & Technology Management (ETM) section at the University of Twente.

His research interests include regional income and labor market dynamics, digital innovation, technology commercialization, and university–industry technology transfer. His work has been published in leading journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Small Business Management, Small Business Economics, Journal of Technology Transfer, Journal of Evolutionary Economics, Frontiers in Psychology, Journal of Economic Psychology, and Journal of Vocational Behavior.
