Christiane Szerman is a PhD candidate in Economics at Princeton University. In 2024, she will join the Department of Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE) as an Assistant Professor after one year as a postdoctoral fellow at the Stone Centre at University College London (UCL) during the 2023-2024 academic year.
She works on core topics in labor, development, and public economics. Her primary research agenda focuses on the distributional consequences of labor market policies and regulations. A second agenda explores ways that government interventions can help alleviate market failures and reduce inequality.
Christiane Szerman joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2023.
