Gerhard Riener

Gerhard Riener is a Professor of Economics at the University of Southampton who has held academic positions at Düsseldorf, Mannheim, and Jena. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Essex in 2010. He is also senior research fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies, Vienna in the Behavioural Economics Group.
His research primarily focuses on experimental economics including methodology, behavioural economics, and applied microeconomics in the fields of organisational economics, labour, and education. He has contributed numerous articles to journals in the field of economics such as the Journal of Labor Economics, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Public Economics, and general interest Journals such as PNAS or PlosONE.
