Simon Chang is currently Senior Lecturer at the Business School, University of Western Australia. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Michigan State University in 2009. His research fields include labor economics, health economics and demographic economics. His recent research interests focus on the various effects of imbalanced sex ratio in a society on individual behaviors and outcomes as well as the formation of social and legal institutions.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in August 2014.
