Sarah Pearlman is Professor of Economics at Vassar College. She teaches classes in gender economics, finance, econometrics, and Latin American economic development.

Her research is in the areas of development and labor economics. Her recent work focuses on informality, the impact of migration on marriage and labor markets in Mexico, the impacts of deportations on foreign born women in the U.S., and the determinants of women’s occupational choice in the U.S. and Mexico.

Sarah Pearlman joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2023.
