Shantanu Khanna is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Economics at Northeastern University.

His primary fields of interest are labour economics, development economics, and public economics. His research explores issues like inequality, discrimination, job creation, and the impacts of public policies on firms and workers. His work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Public Economics, Labour Economics, World Development, and the Journal of Urban Economics, amongst others. Shantanu earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Irvine.

Shantanu Khanna joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in May 2023.
