Shushanik Margaryan is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Potsdam and a member of the Berlin School of Economics. She received her PhD from the Universität Hamburg. Over the last years, she had the opportunity to visit the University of Melbourne, the University of Oslo, and the EUI in Florence for research stays.

Her research interests primarily focus on labour economics, economics of education, and health economics. She is particularly interested in studying the factors that influence the educational outcomes of children from disadvantaged backgrounds, and the impact of air pollution on population health.

Shushanik Margaryan joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in April 2023.
