Flore Gubert is a researcher at the French Institute of Research for Development (IRD), currently assigned as a research economist at LEDa, an IRD / University Paris-Dauphine/CNRS research center on development economics and international Economics in Paris. She received a PhD in Development Economics from the University of Clermont-Ferrand in 2000.
She has been working on migration issues in Western Africa for about 25 years, with a focus on the drivers and developmental impact of migration and remittances. She is currently involved in the evaluation of interventions aimed at improving the inclusion of migrants and refugees in France.
She joined IZA as a Research Fellow in September 2014.
