Jeffrey Shrader is an Associate Professor (without tenure) at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.
His research focuses on the role that weather and climate forecasts play in helping people adapt to climate change, the role of risk-taking in scientific research, as well other topics in the empirical study of decision making in the face of risk. From 2023 to 2024 he was a Senior Advisor at the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) in the US Executive Office of the President. He received his PhD in economics from University of California, San Diego and his BA in economics and mathematics from Columbia University.
Jeffrey Shrader joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in May 2023.
