John Bennett is Emeritus Professor of Economics, Brunel University. He worked previously at the University of Wales, Cardiff and Swansea, and he has been a visiting professor at Washington University, St Louis; Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, and Royal Holloway, University of London. He has published articles in the American Economic Review, Journal of the European Economic Association, European Economic Review, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, and other leading journals. He has been a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Comparative Economics ann Economic Systems. His current research focuses on corruption, informality and regulation in developing and transition economies.
He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in June 2006.
