Rob Euwals studied econometrics at Tilburg University, the Netherlands, and received his first degree in June 1993. From 1993-1997 he worked as a research assistant at the same university. In this period he obtained a diploma of the Netherlands Network in Quantitative Economics, and visited University College London for the winter semester of 1995. In December 1997 he received his doctoral degree for his dissertation entitled "Empirical Studies on Individual Labour Market Behaviour". From 1998-1999 Rob Euwals was a research fellow at the University of Mannheim, Germany, and participated actively in the European TMR project "Savings and Pensions". After working at IZA as a Research Associate since April 1999, he joined the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Policy Analysis in January 2002.
He continues to keep close ties with IZA as a Research Fellow.

His research interests include labor economics, population economics, saving behavior, and applied microeconometrics. He published in such journals as The Economic Journal, The Journal of Applied Econometrics and Labour Economics.
