Professor Kornelius Kraft received his diploma in economics at the University of Heidelberg in 1979 and his Ph.D. at the University of Kassel in 1984. Since 2003 Kornelius Kraft is a professor of economics at the University of Dortmund. Previously he was professor at the universities of Essen and Fribourg (Switzerland). He is also a research professor at the European Centre for Economic Research (ZEW) at Mannheim.

Kornelius Kraft has published articles in the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Review of Economics and Statistics, Economica, Scandinavian Journal of Economics, Journal of Industrial Economics, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Kyklos, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization and Economics Letters among others.

His main research interests are empirical studies in labor economics and industrial organization.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2003.
