Agnieszka Postepska is an Associate Professor at the University of Groningen. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University. She has completed an MA in International Economics and an MA in Psychology at the University of Warsaw. She received the Fulbright scholarship to start the Ph.D. Program in Economics at Georgetown University. During her studies, she has experienced both teaching and working at policy-making and research institutions, such as the World Bank.

Her main research interests lie in the field of applied microeconometrics. In particular, she is interested in human capital formation, occupational choice, migration, development, and gender economics. Her current research focuses on flexible employment, human capital transmission, occupational networks, and electricity uptake in Sub-Saharan Africa.

She joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in August 2013.
