Vincenzo Carrieri is Professor of Public Economics at the University of Calabria and Researcher at the RWI-Leibniz Institute of Economic Research. He is also affiliated to the Health, Econometrics and Data Group (HEDG) at the University of York and to the Global Labor Organization (GLO). He received his PhD from the University of Calabria and a PhD specialization in Health Economics and Policy from the Swiss School of Public Health (SSPH+).
His main research interests are in the fields of health economics and policy evaluation with a particular focus on the economics of risky behaviours and socio-economic status related health inequalities.
On these topics, I have published papers in economic journals such as the Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Health Economics, Health Economics, European Economic Review, and Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, as well as in interdisciplinary journals like Scientific Reports- Nature and Food Policy.
Vincenzo Carrieri joined IZA as a Research Fellow in February 2020.
