Robert Sauer is Professor of Economics at the University of London, Royal Holloway College, and Editor of the European Economic Review. He has previously taught at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv University, Brown University and the University of Bristol. He completed his PhD in economics at New York University. Sauer's research focus is empirical microeconomics, especially labour force dynamics. He has published papers in Econometrica, the Journal of Political Economy, the Review of Economic Studies, the International Economic Review and the Journal of Labor Economics. Sauer has also published numerous opinion pieces on contemporary economic issues, and has forthcoming books with Oxford University Press and World Scientific.
He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2004.
