Jacob Nielsen Arendt is Research Professor and the Head of Labour Market Research at the ROCKWOOL Foundation Research Unit in Copenhagen.
His research interests include migration economics, active labor market policy and the returns to education. He has published in several academic journals including the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal of Labor Economics, the Journal of Population Economics and the Journal of Public Economics.
He received his PhD in economics in 1999 from the University of Copenhagen, and was employed as Associate Professor in Health Economics at University of Southern Denmark and as Professor and Program Director at the Danish Center for Social Science Research, before he joined the Rockwool Foundation in 2017.
