Michael Gibbs is the inaugural Konstantin Sokolov Clinical Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Gibbs received his AB, AM & PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago. His research focuses on empirical personnel and organizational economics. He is author (with Edward Lazear) of the textbook "Personnel Economics in Practice."

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in October 2004.
