Zhaopeng Qu is a PhD student in economics at Beijing Normal
University (BNU), China. He received his Master's Degree in
Economics in 2006. Before studying at BNU, he worked as a
journalist for a financial paper in Beijing and Shanghai.

His research interests are related to labor economics,
income distribution, economics of education, and aging. He
currently focuses on the effects of aging on income
distribution in China. From September 2007 until September
2008 he was a research visitor at IZA.
