Terhi Maczulskij is Chief Research Scientist at ETLA Economic Research and Research Director at Yrjö Jahnsson Foundation, Helsinki. She is also Adjunct Professor at University of Jyväskylä. She received her PhD in economics from the University of Jyväskylä in 2013.

Her research covers a wide range of topics within labor and health economics, as well as on international trade and green transition. Her current work concentrates on estimating the causal effects of job loss on mortality and crime, and the effects of globalization and import competition on firm productivity and worker careers. She also studies the effects of green transition and immigration on firms' performance.

Terhi Maczulskij joined IZA as a Research Fellow in September 2020.
