Since 2008, Viola Hartmann is responsible for the strategic planning, organization, and execution of IZA conferences and workshops.
As Head of Logistics of the G²LM|LIC Programme – a joint initiative of IZA and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office – she oversees the coordination and structuring of various activities in the areas of capacity building, research, and policy outreach.
Viola studied Biology at the University of Bonn and received her diploma in 1999. Alongside her academic studies, she gained additional qualifications in event management, project management, and public relations. After graduating, she worked for various institutions in the fields of scientific education, event management, and public relations.
