Daniel I. Rees is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Colorado Denver, and an Associate Editor at the Economics of Education Review, Economics and Human Biology, and the Journal of Population Economics. He received his B.A. from Oberlin College in 1986, his M.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1988, and his Ph.D. from the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations in 1992.
Professor Rees is interested in the determinants and consequences of risky adolescent behavior, as well as the effects of chronic health conditions on human capital acquisition. Currently, he is studying the relationship between prenatal stress and child health, the effects of cigarette taxes on youth smoking, and the effects of legalizing medical marijuana.
He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in February 2011. |
