Bruno Van der Linden is research associate at the National Fund for Scientific Research (Belgium). He is also Professor at the Economics Department of the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium). He studied applied mathematics (PhD in 1987) and economics (MA in 1989) at Louvain. Since 1990, he teaches labour economics and evaluation methods. His recent research examines the links between income taxation, the labour market and Welfare. His recent work also covers the evaluation of labour market policies with an emphasis on general equilibrium effects. Other research interests include the explanations of unemployment, wage formation, and the implications of search and matching frictions.
His published articles are found in journals such as the Review of Economic Studies, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Oxford Economic Papers, Journal of Development Economics, the Journal of Public Economic Theory, Macroeconomic Dynamics and the Annales d’Economie et de Statistique.
He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2004. |
