Vermeulen Frederic Vermeulen (1974) holds a Ph.D. from the University of Leuven. He is Professor of Microeconomics at the Department of Econometrics and Operations Research of Tilburg University. He is also affiliated with CentER, Netspar and IZA. His fields of interest are the economics of the family with a focus on demand analysis and labour supply. He has published in journals like Econometrica, Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Theory, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Econometrics and Operations Research.

He joined IZA as a research fellow in May 2005.
