Jörg Heining is a senior researcher at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB).
He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Regensburg in 2007. Before joining IAB in 2009 he was head of the department “Public Finance, Taxes” at the Statistical Office of Rhineland-Palatinate. His research interests include topics in empirical labor economics, in particular wage formation, wage differentials, unemployment, job search, and plant closings.
Jörg Heining joined IZA as a Research Fellow in September 2022.
