Robert Mahlstedt is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Copenhagen, Department of Economics, and completed his PhD at the University of Potsdam in 2017. Before, he studied economics at the University of Bonn and the University of Mannheim.

His research interests include the evaluation of labor market policies, job search dynamics and the role of geographical mobility. Moreover, his current work studies also the relevance of psychological motives and behavioral economic concepts for the job search behavior of unemployed workers and subsequent labor market outcomes.

Robert was a Resident Research Affiliate at IZA from 2012 until April 2017 and became a Research Affiliate in May 2017.
