Soohyung Lee

Soohyung Lee is a Professor in Graduate School of International Studies at Seoul National University.

Her research area is applied econometrics, focusing on socioeconomic issues related to human capital, intersecting various fields of economics: Labor/Public, Development, Family Economics, and Market Design. Before joining in Sogang University in 2016, she was an Assistant Professor at University of Maryland, College Park, a Research Fellow at Harvard Business School, and a visiting professor at Hitotsubashi University, Waseda University, and Seoul National University. She received her PhD from Stanford University and her BA from Seoul National University. Prior to starting her PhD program, she served as a Deputy Director in Korea’s Ministry of Finance from 1999 to 2002.

Soohyung joined IZA as a Research Fellow in September 2015.
