Juliane Parys is an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company focusing on strategy and business development topics with specific interest in determining the impact of macroeconomic trends on the strategy and growth opportunities of businesses. She is also an economist, who earned her PhD from Bonn University after a two-years research fellow stay at UC Berkeley.
Her main research interests are in economic growth and labor economics. In particular, her current work is on trend-based strategy development and intra-household allocation of childcare.
She was an IZA Research Affiliate from March 2009 until July 2017.
