Daniel F. Heuermann is Professor of Economics at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences in Berlin. In addition, he is Associate Lecturer in the Philosophy & Economics program at the University of Bayreuth and Research Fellow at the IZA.

Daniel studied Philosophy & Economics (B.A.) at the University of Bayreuth and Development Economics (M.Phil.) at the University of Cambridge. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Trier and finished his Habilitation in Economics at the University of Regensburg in July 2018. Between 2017 and 2019, he held positions as Professor for International Economics (University of Würzburg) and for Empirical Macroeconomics (University of Regensburg). From 2009 to 2012, he worked as a policy consultant in Berlin and supported the German Federal Ministries and the European Commission in the design of social and labor market policies.

His main research fields encompass regional, labor, public and development economics with a focus on the evaluation of public policies.
