Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance

Mounu works as an associate professor at the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance. He is also a CEPR research affiliate in the development and political economy groups, an IZA research fellow, has an adjunct professor position at the Economics Department in Universidad del Rosario, and a research associate affiliation at the Toulouse School of Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University and a M.A. and B.A. in Economics from PUC Chile. His research interests are in Political Economy, Development Economics, Economic History, and Corporate Finance. He has focused his research on studying the economic and political legacies of Pinochet's dictatorship, the causes and consequences of corruption, the allocation of public sector jobs, Colombia post-peace agreement, and the role of internal markets in business groups.
