Abu Siddique is an Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Economics at the Department of Economics, Royal Holloway University of London.

Previously, he was an Assistant Professor of Economics and Policy at King's College London, and a postdoc at the Technical University of Munich. He obtained his PhD in Economics from the University of Southampton in 2019, an MSc in Economics & Econometrics from the University of Southampton in 2015, and a BSc in Economics from Queen Mary University of London in 2014.

His main research interest lies in the field of applied microeconomics and development. Much of his work is on issues related to health, education, and ethnic minorities in developing country contexts.

Abu Siddique joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in April 2023.
