Amanda Chuan is an Assistant Professor at the Michigan State University School of Human Resources & Labor Relations. Her research focuses on labor and experimental economics. Within labor economics, her focus is on human capital investment, especially as it pertains to inequities along gender, race, and socioeconomic status. Within experimental economics, she focuses on prosocial behavior and adolescent educational decisions.

She received her PhD from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. She holds a B.A. in Economics (honors) and biological sciences from the University of Chicago.

Amanda Chuan joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in April 2023.
