Jeffrey Shrader is an Assistant Professor at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.

His research focuses on the role that weather and climate forecasts play in helping people adapt to climate change,
the role of risk-taking in scientific research, as well other topics in the empirical study of decision making in the
face of risk. He received his PhD in economics from University of California, San Diego and his BA in economics and
mathematics from Columbia University.

Jeffrey Shrader joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in May 2023.
