Will Olney is a Professor of Economics at Williams College. He received a B.A. from Wesleyan University and a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado. His research focuses on the labor market impacts of international trade, migration, offshoring, and foreign direct investment. His research has been published in journal such as the Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Human Resources, and Journal of Urban Economics, and has been covered by various media outlets including the New York Times, the Economist, and ABC News. He has held positions at the Federal Reserve Bank, the University of California, the University of Pompeu Fabra, and the University of Hawaii and has been a consultant for the UN, WTO, and ADB.
