Clara’s main areas of interest include labor economics, socia policy, family and gender economics and the future of labor.

Since April 2018, Clara is a postdoctoral researcher at the Gender Economics Research Group at the DIW Berlin. Clara got her PhD from the Free University Berlin and the DIW Graduate Center in December 2017. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy & Economics from the University of Bayreuth and a Master’s degree in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the University of Amsterdam.

After completing her Master’s degree in August 2012, Clara worked as a consultant for the World Bank in Washington DC, at the department of Human Development in the MENA region. During her doctoral studies, she worked for the OECD in Paris and the European Commission in Brussels as a trainee.

Clara joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in June 2016.
